Is this password generator secure?

Yes. Passwords are generated locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), the same cryptographically secure source used by password managers. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

Are my generated passwords saved anywhere?

Never. We do not log, store, or transmit any password. History is kept in memory only and cleared when you close the tab.

Should I use MD5 or SHA-1 for login passwords?

No. MD5 and SHA-1 are shown for legacy/checksum use only. For real authentication use bcrypt, scrypt, or argon2 — they are slow by design and include per-user salts.

What's the strongest setting?

A 20+ character random password using uppercase, lowercase, digits, and symbols gives you well over 120 bits of entropy — uncrackable with current hardware.

Can I generate multiple passwords at once?

Yes — increase the Quantity field to generate up to 50 passwords in a batch, then copy or download them all together.
